Blauer Aff in Bensheim

As always, very tasty dishes, also for take away. Very good organization when picking up, you don't get in each other's way. The spaghetti from the parmesan wheel with truffle are outstanding. But you can also enjoy classic regional dishes such as the cooked cheese schnitzel with fries and various salads.

I cannot recommend this restaurant as the owner is overbearing. On December 12th, 2020 they did not want to deliver to Alsbach / Sandwiese, because the Sandwiese is not in the delivery area of ​​the restaurant. After another conversation via WhatsApp, we were informed that delivery could now be made, but only around 9:15 p.m. (much too late). We then informed the restaurant that we had ordered from the competition and that 21:15 was unsatisfactory, and we were blocked by the restaurant via WhatsApp. If the restaurant says that Alsbach is not in the delivery area then I don't understand why another customer (personally known to me) is even being supplied in Bickenbach. Uniform rules should be created here.

The three of us ordered this evening from the Blaue Aff in Auerbach. Half a chicken, schnitzel and the duck with lamb's lettuce. The food came after half an hour and was well and safely packaged. Everything that should be warm was still warm. It was very tasty and enough. We are very happy to order there again in lockdown, but we prefer to go there and enjoy a relaxed evening in the restaurant!

We had a little Christmas party a week and a half before Christmas and wanted to order food from Alsbach-Hähnlein for around € 300 They didn't want to deliver to us because that would be too far ... For 30 € we would have been delivered to Zwingenberg (1 km before) ... Well, if the owner doesn't want to drive 1 km more for € 300 in sales then unfortunately you can't do anything anymore then ordered food for € 300 at the Schiraz in Darmstadt, they were very happy ...

The delivery service works perfectly in the times of COVID-19. The quality is perfect and the food is really hot and as always top quality. We really enjoyed the Christmas goose and can only recommend the delivery service during the limited times.

The first thing you notice next to the blue facade (yes, the name says it) are the lovingly and very differently furnished guest rooms on the ground floor, inner courtyard and first floor. So it's worth taking a look at all the rooms on your first visit. In addition to the furnishings, the Blaue Aff convinces with friendly, quick service and good food. The inner courtyard, which is roofed and sheltered from the wind, makes it possible to sit outside even when the weather is not perfect.

Look well attended. Food very tasty and nicely prepared. Good wine selection! Really cozy when you move closer together (unfortunately not feasible in Corona times). Still worth a visit.

Always delicious - even under Corona "the Blue Aff" tries not to do without its interior experience for guests. No matter which friends you come here with, everyone is taken with the "Blue Aff" afterwards. And that is not only due to the "Landgasthof menu with a twist".

Wonderful food, atmosphere and staff

Here is a really nice place to have dinner. Ambiance is very good. A little bit dark but it is OK. I ate steak and it was really delicious. The portion was satisfying. I can be able to hardly finish my plate. I guess I will go there again and again and again... in the future, when I come around this place. I strongly recommend this place to have some delicious meals.

I had the kochkäse schnitzel and it was really one of the best 'typical german' Schnitzels I've ever had, perfectly cooked and way too much in the end but better too much than too little. I can only recommend this place after a hike in the area ... 😋

This place looks very nice. The food is delicious. We were eating on a monday and it was almost full. So I would recommend to make a reservation. I can't beleive it isn't fully booked in the weekends.
